Held at the historic Ilam Homestead, and with over 30 beers and ciders from craft breweries all over the South Island, the South Island Beer Festival is always a great day out. So much so, it has been voted Best Canterbury Beer Event by the members of the Society of Beer Advocates (SOBA) for three years running.

The 14th festival will be held on Saturday the 9th of Feburary 2019 from 12 midday till 6pm. Write it in your diaries and start rounding up your mates.

Tickets can be bought online for $40. This gets you entry, a festival glass to keep, and a tasting ticket good for 5 beers (all beers are served in half-pints). Further tasting tickets (also 5 beers) will set you back $25 – you'll also be able to buy partial tickets at $5 per beer. We do have EFTPOS available but cash is typically quicker for everybody. We also recommend you bring cash for the food vendors - they won't necessarily have EFTPOS available, and we can't guarantee being able to provide a cash-out service. Door sales will be available on the day for $45.

For updates, keep an eye on this website or follow us on Facebook. You could also check out the Facebook event for this edition of the festival.
